Concert! Concert!Um to those that hasn't known, i've rejoined my sec sch alumni band at their request for this year's concert. It's on 17th June (coming soon!) at Young Musician's Society Audithorium. I'm not sure where it is though, haven't find out about that yet. If anyone knows, pls feel free to enlighten me. :x
Some of the pieces i'll be playing includes 'Perhaps Perhaps Perhaps', 'Habanera', 'Over the Rainbow', and 'Moon River'. The pieces are pretty well known among most ppl and will be played by just small groups of musicians (ranging from 4 to 8 players), kinda different from the usual concerts organised by bands. Interesting, no? :D
Some details about my history in band. I first came into contact with band in sec sch, at my mum's insistance that i join it as my ECA (right now the term shld be CCA right?). I started off as a clarinetist (although i remember at that time i really wanted to play the trumpet lolz) and later switched to the saxophone in sec three, due to a lack of saxophone players, and joined the alumni after i graduated. (Alumni is a group formed by graduates of the same sch, for those who don't know.)
Then, a few years back, i left the band due to other commitments (sch.. bf.. etc..) and hadn't touched an instrument since. So i initially felt worried that i might have lost my skills, but well i guess i haven't. :x As to how good or bad my playing is, u have to hear it to find out.. :P
There're alot more things i can say about my band experiences but too lazy to type everything out now. Anyway, those interested in attending the concert or supporting me, pls feel free to get tickets from me! They're $5 each (cheap!) and seats are rather limited, as the audithorium isn't big (200 seats only). First come first serve! Come support me! xD
