I AM FREAKING TIRED.I wish i can say "i'm NEVER gonna be moving house again" or "there's NO WAY i'm going through this sort of ordeal again"...... but i know that wouldn't be the case.
I thought there can be nothing worse than painting your house, especially in a very limited time period, and your particular color of paint is finishing, and you have to use your 'chi nai de li qi'(drinking milk's strength) to paint the wall so that the paint will stick, and you end up with your arms so sore that you feel like chopping them off in the middle of the night so that you can get some sleep, but i am so very wrong.
This morning is our first move to our sembawang apartment, from bedok. Next week would be the 2nd move, from toa payoh. Was down at bedok the whole day yesterday with mum to pack up our stuffs for the big move today. Either we were too slow like pumpkins.....
I feel the need to explain this. I don't know why but 'pumpkins' just popped up in my mind. It just sound clumsy and slow and sluggish. And if they can move they'd probably stomp like those japanese wrestlers (forgot what they're called in english but in chinese they're 'xiang gu xuan shou') before they start wrestling. You can probably even feel the ground rumbling. Which reminds me, why did Cinderella go to the ball in a pumpkin?? Why not lychee? It sounds lighter and more active and can probably move faster. <- My point of view only.
Anyway, enough of the lameness. Where was i? Oh right, i was saying either we were too slow like pumpkins or there were way too many things to pack (probably abit of both). By the end of the day, and i mean really the end of the day, like 11:59:59pm yesterday, we were only like half done. -.-" I was like what the f*** where the hell did all these things come from!?
I packed all the way til 3am. And we were still not done. And the movers were due at 7am. -.-""" I gave up and went to bed, and left the rest of the packing to mum and dad. Before you say 'unfilial girl!', i was really tired at that time and i reasoned that someone needs to be decently awake to watch over the moving process, and not all becoming zombies.
Believe it or not, we ended up with more than 40 boxes worth of stuff! Only about 5 to 6 boxes is mine lor! And still haven't include furnitures hor! O_O Conclusion: the power of auntie characteristic (likes to keep rubbish) is scary. I swear i will not become like that in future.
Back to topic. The movers came on the dot. Which means i was still sleeping. Which means i had to wear my night clothes and brush my teeth while all those bangalas walked all over behind me moving stuff. -_-" SO PAISEH. I brushed my teeth and washed my face in record time.
The move was over in about 4 hours time, including transporting all our stuff over to sembawang. Which is pretty fast considering the amount of stuff we got. The movers were pretty efficient too, and considerate towards our furniture. They wrapped those sticky plastic foils (those that you wrap your food so that they don't spoil so quickly) all over our furnitures so that they don't accidentally scrap anything. They even removed them after that for us! Nice service right? And the fee was pretty reasonable as well. (We even thought that the money they're getting isn't worth the amount of effort they had to put in lor.) Result: customer satisfaction and more tips for the guys! Kudos! And finally it's over.. YAY! :x
Now i'm back in toa payoh. Actually, i'm supposed to be getting back my sleep right now but i kinda perked up after bathing, so i suppose i should just show my presence here once in a while. :x Hopefully the move next monday would be less tiring..
